Atlanta Police Arrested a Group of Afro Americans Trying to Rob a Lending Company
Atlanta Police announced the arrest of three African Americans connected to a series of violent armed robberies. Police identified three of the robbers as 17-year-old Chris Williams, 21-year-old Ayden Smith, and 19-year-old Cornell Taylor.
The arrest took place during an attempted armed robbery of the Ascin Loans lending company on Tuesday. At 5:12 PM, officers responded to a branch office invasion call and arrived a short while later at a crime scene. The robbers demanded give them all the hundreds in the drawer and promised to start shooting up the branch otherwise. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
The robbers are now set to testify and awaiting a preliminary hearing.
Stephen D. Lynn was selected as the Chief of Police for the City of Perry and began his duties on January 22. Chief Lynn has over 25 years in law enforcement. Watch the web site for more information.
