About Bill Phelps: Captain of Patrol Division
Captain William D. Phelps is a 22-year veteran with the Perry Police Department. He began his career in the Patrol Division and was subsequently promoted to detective. He now oversees the day-to-day operations of the Patrol Division with an annual budget of approximately $2 million. The Patrol Division consists of 27 sworn officers and two Animal Control Officers. Criminal Investigation Division

About Heath Dykes: Captain of Criminal Division
Captain Heath Dykes is a graduate of the Hawkinsville High School Class of 1988. After high school he received an Associate degree from Middle Georgia College in Cochran and a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University. Captain Dykes began his career in law enforcement with the Perry Police Department in 1993. Since joining the Perry Police Department, he has graduated from the 195th Session of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Learn More
